How to Integrate Google Tag Manager with LinksDude (Tracking Setup)

Last updated on July 26, 2025

What is Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tool from Google that lets you add and manage multiple tracking pixels (like Facebook, TikTok, or Google Analytics) all in one place, without having to manually add code to your website every time.

Instead of placing many different pixels, you just place one GTM pixel on your site, and you control the rest inside your GTM dashboard.

Why Use GTM with Linksdude?

If you're using Linksdude for shortened links or bio pages, adding your GTM pixel lets you:

  • Track page visits and link clicks
  • Trigger conversion events (like sign-ups or purchases)
  • Collect better data for retargeting ads

This is useful if you're running marketing campaigns and want deeper analytics.

How to Add Google Tag Manager to Your Account

To use GTM on Linksdude, you need your Container ID. It looks like this:

GTM-ABC123DE

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Google Tag Manager Dashboard.
  2. Copy your Container ID (you’ll find it at the top of the page).
  3. Go to your Linksdude dashboard → Pixels.
  4. Click Add Pixel and choose Google Tag Manager.
  5. Paste your Container ID and save.

⚠️ Important: Make sure the Container ID is correct. If it’s wrong, your events won't be tracked.
