Saving YouTube Videos
Method 1: Using the YouTube App or Website
Log In to YouTube:
- Open the YouTube app on your mobile device or visit YouTube in your web browser.
- Sign in to your Google account if you're not already logged in.
Find the Video:
- Search for the video you want to save or navigate to it using your subscriptions or recommendations.
Click or Tap the Save Button:
- On the YouTube video page, below the video player, you’ll find a Save button (it looks like a bookmark icon). Click or tap on it.
Choose a Playlist:
- Select an existing playlist to save the video to, or create a new playlist by clicking on Create new playlist and entering a name.
Access Your Saved Videos:
- To view your saved videos, go to the YouTube app’s homepage and tap on your profile picture > Your channel > Playlists. Here, you can find and access your saved videos.
Method 2: Using the Watch Later Feature
Watch Later Button:
- Instead of saving to a playlist, you can click the Watch Later button (it looks like a clock icon) beneath the video player. This adds the video to your Watch Later playlist.
Accessing Watch Later Playlist:
- To access your Watch Later playlist, go to the YouTube app’s homepage and tap on your profile picture > Watch Later.
Sharing YouTube Videos
Method 1: Sharing on Social Media or Messaging Apps
Find the Video:
- Navigate to the YouTube video you want to share.
Click or Tap Share:
- Below the video player, click or tap on the Share button. This will open a menu with sharing options.
Choose a Platform:
- Select the platform where you want to share the video (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Email).
Share Directly:
- Follow the prompts to share the video directly to the selected platform or copy the video link to share manually.
Method 2: Sharing via Link
Copy Video Link:
- On the YouTube video page, click or tap on the video’s URL in the browser’s address bar to highlight it.
- Right-click and select Copy, or tap and hold on mobile devices and select Copy.
Paste and Share:
- Paste the copied link into a message, email, or social media post to share with others. Recipients can click on the link to view the video.
Additional Tips:
- Privacy Settings: Check the video’s privacy settings before sharing to ensure it can be viewed by others.
- Customization: Some platforms allow you to add comments or customize how you share the video.
- Embedding: If you have a website or blog, you can embed YouTube videos directly by clicking on the Share button > Embed and copying the embed code.
